For as long as she can remember, Melissa has loved helping people feel at home. Before founding Anchor Point with her husband Mike, she had a career in Social Work, connecting with others and making a positive impact in their lives. That same heart for service shines through in everything she does today.
Her journey into vacation rentals started in 2007 with a simple dream: to create welcoming spaces near the shores of Lake Michigan, where families and friends could gather, celebrate, and create memories. What began with one lovingly decorated home quickly grew into a passion for showcasing the beauty of the lakeshore and offering unforgettable guest experiences.
Inspired by South Haven’s nautical charm and natural beauty, Melissa designs each of her homes to feel special—providing fresh and inviting touches that give guests a warm experience. From cozy beach cottages to spacious family retreats, she believes a great vacation rental is about more than just a place to sleep—it's about the moments made together. Today, Melissa leads our marketing and operations efforts, helping every property shine.
